Description

The seminar is divided into four sessions, spread out over the morning and the afternoon. The first session presents the results of the Coltivare_Salute.Com project from the six research units involved (DAStU/architecture; DAStU/urban planning; DAStU/sociology; ABC/architecture and hygiene; DIG/management engineering; and DESIGN/communication). The second session combines the results of the research within the institutional and policy framework of reference through the voices of some authoritative representatives of the Italian and English Ministries of Health. The third reflects on the experiences of Healthcare Centers developed in some regions of Italy, showing the significant diversification to which the model has been subjected in Italy and reflecting on the geography and relations of this service in the cities. The fourth and final session compares some projects of Healthcare Centers in Europe, trying to outline their recurring architectural and functional characteristics and the innovations produced, in a discussion between designers and researchers.

Educational project

The international seminar has two objectives: on the one hand, to present the results of “Coltivare_Salute.Com” research to the scientific community and to institutional representatives, and on the other hand to structure a broader reflection on the transition from the Health Center model to that of the Community Health Center outlined from the PNRR, and more generally, to question the role of Community Health Centers in various European countries as intermediate health devices capable of generating new urban relationships and conveying regeneration processes in the contemporary city.
