Description of the initiative
The course aims at providing teams of students the opportunity to carry out design activities in the field of UAVs. Examples of possible activities:
- UAV design using existing tools
- Development of new tools for analysis, design, simulation, data analysis
- Development of business cases for innovative UAV-based services
- Call for definition of three interdisciplinary student teams which will attend the course
- Introductory lectures to provide all participating students with a common background to work on UAV design problems
- Presentation of the three input design specifications to be implemented by the teams
- Preliminary design (by the students) and design review
- Detailed design (by the students)
- Integration and flight-testing (by the students)
- Final presentation of the results
