Description of the initiative
The activity proposes a territorial exploration and a day of study and presentation of the hypotheses developed for the Cusio area, the topic of activities between two urban planning laboratories pertaining to the Bachelor's Degree in "Urbanistica, città ambiente e paesaggio" (UCAP - section B) led by Cristina Renzoni and Federico Zanfi and the Master's Degree in "Architettura e Disegno Urbano" (ADU - section B) led by Arturo Lanzani and Cristina Renzoni.
The territorial exploration will investigate the Cusio territory through individual and collective explorations in order to increase the ability to observe and critically interpret the socio-spatial phenomena and environmental issues that characterise the observed contexts. The fieldwork will allow the groups of students to test themselves with concrete places and problems, interacting with local stakeholders and actors who will enrich the work programme, in collaboration with public administrations and local actors. Project approaches and strategic visions will be discussed and compared.
The activity will be divided into three main activities:
1) the setting of an exhibition (at the "Forum" in Omegna) of the planning hypotheses elaborated in the 1st semester Urban design course conducted by Professor Lanzani and Professor Renzoni on the Cusio territories, with the aim of comparing visions and territorial images;
2) a public seminar (Saturday 9 March, Omegna, Forum di Omegna, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.) to be attended by local administrators, scholars and experts, dedicated to the discussion and presentation of student's works;
3) on-site visits spread over several days that will explore the different contexts analysed within the work of the Urban Planning workshop (UCAP) led by Professor Renzoni and Professor Zanfi (Friday 8, Sunday 10 March).

- Nelle giornate dell'8-10 marzo avranno luogo i sopralluoghi sul territorio (studenti UCAP, con itinerari da concordare su proposta della docenza);
- il 9 marzo avrà luogo la mostra degli elaborati degli studenti e il seminario con gli attori locali presso il Forum di Omegna (Parco Pasquale Maulini 1, 28887 Omegna VB);
- la fase di allestimento è da concordare con il gruppo di studenti ADU (febbraio-marzo 2024): agli studenti del corso ADU è richiesta la rielaborazione di alcuni materiali presentati in sede di esame e l'allestimento di questi, questa attività verrà coordinata dal gruppo docente.
