Description of the initiative

This course teaches the basics of Python programming. We will cover the basics of how to build a program from a series of simple instructions in Python. The course is aimed at students who have already attended Informatica A.
The aim is to go beyond the basics of procedural programming and explore how Python's built-in data structures such as lists, dictionaries, and tuples can be used to perform increasingly complex data analysis. Examples of problems faced could be the estimation of Pi with statistical methods or the solution of linear systems.
This course will also introduce students (who have already acquired the basics of SQL in Informatica A) the use of libraries to interact with a database and libraries for the visualization of basic data.
