Description of the initiative
The PSSD Mentoring project aims to be a formative activity to support the didactics of the students of the M.Sc. of PSSD, focused on an area of difficult integration into the curriculum of the course: the transition from students to professionals. At the basis of the project there is a net of relationships among PSSD students and alumni, aiming to provide a professional growth. Subjects involved in the project:
The project will be developed on more level of interaction among the actors:
11 May - Program Kick-off
25 May - Get ready for Job Interview (Career Service)
24 June - Unboxing a Service Designer
16 September - Working as: Employee or Freelancer?
14 October - Working in: University or Public sector?
11 November - Networking - closing aperitivo
- M.Sc. PSSD as promoter and organizer of the project.
- PSSD students, as Mentees (maximum 40 students in the first edition).
- PSSD alumni, as Mentors (ideally, one Mentor per Mentee).
- Career Service, PSSD Advisory Board and Service Design Drinks to organize transversal moments.
The project will be developed on more level of interaction among the actors:
- synchronous collective for the participants to the program, for the PSSD class,mainly in digital. (Event 1 - PROGRAM KICK OFF; Event 2 - GET READY FOR JOB INTERVIEW; Event 3 - UNBOXING A SERVICE DESIGNER. Two events dedicated to job profiles as PSS Designer: WORKING AS: EMPLOYEE OR FREELANCER? and WORKING IN: UNIVERSITY OR PUBLIC SECTOR? One Final Event (in presence if possible) - NETWORKING. All events will be interactive.
- 4 asynchronous one-to-one meeting between mentor and mentee, self-managed (also in digital).
