Description of the initiative

The course aims to promote additive printing of fluidics, in particular of ceramic materials. Basic concepts of FDM additive printing will be reviewed in relation to those of LDM printing, highlighting the important variations between the two production systems. Those differences will influence the design and construction rules of 3D models created for this type of technology. Likewise, we will explain the advantages of using parametric modelling systems, introduce the Grasshopper environment to achieve results that are also difficult to obtain with traditional CAD and facilite exportable machine paths for LDM printing. During the course, it is planned to have a large space dedicated to the design activity to conceive and realise collections of additive-printed objects in ceramic material. The participants will be able to collect their creations after firing.
