Description of the initiative

Hydrogen energy storage systems are one of the most attractive way to store electricity from renewable energy sources compared against conventional energy storage technologies.
The cutting-edge technologies for producing, storing and reusing hydrogen while decreasing CO2 emission are presented in this short course.
The course is organized in two parts: the first part provides the knowledge and the competence to understand and to design a hydrogen energy storage system by way of the diverse technologies for hydrogen production, hydrogen storage and hydrogen reutilization. At the end of the first part, a group project work is given.
The second and last part of the class is dedicated to the class presentation by all groups.
The lecturer is prof. Tatsuoki Kono from Tohoku University and University of Tokyo.
