From 5 to 7 October 2023, Ferrara becomes the beating heart of exciting discussions on air quality, urban health, and action and science for environmental justice. The third edition of the Festa dell'Aria offers an engaging open living lab, which includes a variety of activities such as seminars, aperitifs with experts, competitions with awards, creative workshops, performances, guided bike rides, and participatory environmental survey campaigns.This event actively promotes citizen participation and innovation, dedicating half of the time to experimenting with new approaches and tools and the other half to sharing experiences and initiatives from cities, research, companies and actions.On the first day, Thursday 5 October 2023, we will focus on the theme of "RESPONSE-ABILITY", exploring the right to environmental health and the role of cities and citizens in tackling local air and climate challenges.The second day, Friday 6 October 2023, will be dedicated to "TRANSFORM-ABILITY". During this day, we will present innovative solutions to accelerate structural impact, broadening sectoral actions and promoting self-organisation, in order to build a more sustainable future.Finally, on Saturday 7 October 2023, we will immerse ourselves in the "IMAGINE-ABILITY", exploring unexpected looks and imaginaries and challenging common conventions to shape an ecological and sustainable urban future, thanks to the collaboration of the projects Make Together and Greenship.The Festa dell'Aria is part of the UIA Air-Break Ferrara project and is coordinated by the Politecnico di Milano (DAStU). It is a co-creation process that actively engages participants in promoting better air quality for urban health.
