Description of the initiative

The Digital Garden @Polimi project is the result of an observation of the crisis and the changes it has generated.
In an era in which products and spaces become more and more intangible to leave space and relevance to digital worlds, and at a time when the physical dimension is less limiting the opportunities for students and graduates to be able to connect effectively with business realities, Digital Garden @Polimi wants to explore the new virtual landscapes to promote creativity and identities of students through a 'virtual garden'. This is where the most promising works flourish. The concept is that of the botanical garden, an artificially recreated natural environment where different varieties of plants are collected and categorized for scientific purposes and visitor education.
Offered to the entire scientific community, but in particular to the students of the three-year Synthesis Laboratories of Fashion Design, Digital Garden is a platform where digital animated objects can 'behave' according to the identity of each individual student and move in virtual worlds without limits of space, colors and actions. Presented together in their complexity, but also with a dedicated individual space, the projects will be launched with a digital opening to promote the visibility of the students' work.
