Description of the initiative

The aim of the Creacthon project is to make you question the contribution and interest of a transdisciplinary approach. As future managers, designers, artists, you will be required in your future activities to work with colleagues from different backgrounds, disciplines and cultures, as part of the launch or development of activities or projects, or even in your future management functions. What are your colleagues' approaches, their views? Are they different from you? How do they complement each other? How will you be able to work together? Finally, how will you work in good synergy?
For this transdisciplinary immersion, you will participate in the reflection of how the Subaquatique Museum of Marseille can attract some new visitors to make them discover the park of the 10 sculptures existing (3 more will be under production during the next months). One main idea is to set around the art works pieces of furniture of the exhibit system in order to improve the visit and support visitor in enjoying artworks and to allow divers to take the time of admiring, shooting, discovering and sharing emotions with friends and family. www.musee-subaquatique.com. To support you in your process of developing working ideas for these future products: you will be accompanied by professionals representing the functions necessarily involved in this type of project and you will collaborate with students from different backgrounds. You work in a start-up, along side with various talents (engineers, marketers, designers…) whose mission is first to understand the global environment of the subaquatique museum (History, location, process of selecting the sculptors collaborating to the project, technical process of making, partnerships, the visitors target, constraints of the undersea environment, economic model etc….). Then you will have to design models of pieces of furniture of the exhibit system able to support visitors in enjoying artworks that could be set round the sculptures, taking care about their aesthetic appearance, their comfort and ergonomic, their resistance to time and material being compatible with the protection of undersea environment, their technical feasibility, way of transport, way of submerging and taking off if necessary.
