Description of the initiative
Every semester, the AUIC School invites international Visiting Professors in order to offer students different points of view regarding the subjects taught. The School wants to spread an international architecture culture as much as possible, so Visiting Professors will be asked to open one of their lectures to all students (including the ones not attending their courses/studios). With the same objective of cultural enrichment, the Galleria del Progetto every month hosts an exhibition dedicated to architecture and curated by Professors of the School. So far important exhibitions have been exposed such as the ones dedicated to Architect Aldo Rossi, to Engineer Pierluigi Nervi, to Architect and Designer Mario Bellini, to Architect Fernand Pouillon. The exhibitions calendar is rich and diversified in order to offer heterogeneous points of view about architecture. Since 25th february 2019 an exhibition dedicated to Architect Antonio Monestiroli is scheduled.
The project "ARCHICULTURA" aims to spread an international and qualitative culture of traditional and contemporary architecture. Within the schedule of 14 open lectures of Visiting Professors in Campus Leonardo, students can select at least 7 lectures to attend and 3 exhibitions out of 5 to visit.Every activity is rewarded with points (3 points for a lecture and 2 points for an exhibition).In order to obtain 2 CFU, students need to collect on a card at least 27 points (you can get hold of the card at the Communication and External Office of Auic School, Via Golgi 42).This project of innovative training does not require a final essay. If students want to attend more lectures or visit more exhibitions, rewarding points will be indicated on the card but will count for more CFUs.
