The Academic Preparation Course is aimed at students who are about to begin the first year of the Bachelor's degree and aims to teach students how to manage effective and fruitful participation in university educational activities. Students will learn how to take notes and manage their time effectively, take advantage of different sources of learning materials, and actively participate in teaching. The course is reserved for freshmen in Electrical Engineering. The primary goal of the course is to bring about greater awareness in students in respect of the processes of learning and knowledge acquisition, to prepare them to successfully pursue a Level I academic record. Each lesson focuses on different skills, proposing in the first part of the lesson different suitable strategies to develop these skills, and proposing in the second part specific activities to internalize and automate these techniques. At the end of the course, students will put all the skills they have learned over the course of the meetings to use in organizing a short public presentation.
