PhD programme @polimi

The Politecnico di Milano PhD programme is increasingly attractive, as we can see in the new data for our 35th 2019-2020 PhD cycle. This year we surpassed all previous results, with 494 PhD students enrolled 455 of which (92 per cent) were awarded scholarships.

The PhD programme is the culmination of university education. For many years it was exclusively the main door into the world of academic research, but that scenario is rapidly changing. A change of perspective due to growing company awareness about the key role that innovation and research play in every economic sector. Academic institutions such as Politecnico di Milano have been rethinking doctoral careers.

In this video you will discover some of our PhD students’ projects.  Each contributes to the advancement of knowledge during three years working with the best national and international research groups, while focusing on their own original solutions. This young talent on whom we continue to focus, makes Italy and Europe grow thanks to innovation and research.
