New site for MOA Laboratory | Architectural Modelling

New premises opened while waiting for development of Architecture Campus designed by Renzo Piano

The Politecnico di Milano has opened new premises for its MOA Laboratory | Architectural Modelling, part of the Department of Architecture and Urban Studies at the School of Architecture, Urban Planning and Construction Engineering.

The MOA Laboratory was founded in 1987 on the principle that, when architects are being trained at university, developing scale models is a fundamental constructive learning experience that supports architectural design.

The MOA Laboratory’s main aim is to train university students in modelling and architectural design, which takes place in the laboratory through teaching support in building models of varying scales, from territorial and urban models through to construction and interiors models.

The new premises offer students space and facilities while they await development of the new Architecture Campus designed by Renzo Piano which is currently under construction.
