The STEP-CHANGE PhD Program trains a new generation of experts capable of addressing global change and guiding society toward a sustainable and inclusive transition. As an interdepartmental program involving eleven departments of Politecnico di Milano, it promotes research on green technologies, industrial decarbonization, and sustainable policies through a systemic and interdisciplinary approach. Doctoral candidates develop skills to model physical, industrial, social, and digital processes, shaping the planet, assessing their environmental, economic, and ethical impacts. International research stays at leading universities and excellence centers to complete a training that opens careers in academia, research, industry, and international organizations.
