The PhD Programme in Management Engineering offers advanced training to conduct research at the intersection of three main areas: Management, Applied Economics and Industrial Engineering. The Programme shapes professionals able to carry out high-profile research in universities, international institutions, companies, and other public bodies. The courses offered provide a multidisciplinary knowledge and the ability to address problems in an innovative manner, combining various analytical perspectives.
Research in the Applied Economics area study issues in the industrial, international, financial, innovation and entrepreneurship domains through economic theories and models.
The Industrial Engineering research Area examines the strategies and techniques for planning, managing and optimising industrial systems and production processes.
The Management Research Area studies the reciprocal influences between strategy, management and the use of technology, through analysis of business processes internal and external to the company.
