- Selection base don weighted average grades. Priority will be given to students enrolled in the third year of Automation Engineering who are attending or have attended the Discrete Event Systems course, or students enrolled in the Master's degree program in Automation and Control Engineering.

Objective
This course, delivered by expert trainers from the automation company B&R, is designed to provide a solid foundation in industrial system programming and integration, using industry-standard tools, software, and languages. Upon completion, participants will be able to create automation projects and develop state machines for machine control, while integrating human-machine interface (HMI) and axis management systems.
Contents
1. Familiarization with Industrial Programming Tools (6 hours)
- Introduction to Automation Studio.
- In-depth study of IEC61131-3 standard programming languages, with a focus on structured language (ST).
- Use of iPhysics for the simulation of industrial processes.
- Design and implementation of human-machine interfaces (HMI) based on web technology.
- Basic principles of axis control.
- Integration and management of handling systems.
- Automation project management techniques.
- Creation and implementation of state machines for process control.

Basic knowledge of automation and computer science. Knowledge of PLC systems is helpful.

Selection criteria
Preference will be given to Automation Engineering students and the average grade will be considered.
