What is it?
Teatro San Babila was designed in 1964 by architect Mario Gottardi and commissioned by Cardinal Giovanni Battista Montini - the future Pope Paul VI - and soon became the city's cultural salon.
Since then, its stage has hosted the greatest voices of Italian theatre: Paolo Stoppa, Peppino De Filippo, Franca Valeri, Giorgio Albertazzi, Massimo Dapporto and many other contemporary performers.
What are the benefits?
Teatro San Babila offers Politecnico community tickets for the shows in the 2025 - 2026 theatre season at discounted prices:
- for students and Phds: € 12
- for lecturers, research assistants, technical and administrative staff with a group of at least 10 people: 15 €
- for professors, researchers, technical and administrative staff - single person: €18
Discounts are also available for accompanying persons and apply to the dates indicated in this document, excluding 31st December.
How does it work?
To get the discounts, students and employees of Politecnico di Milano must buy tickets and subscriptions in one of these ways:
- by e-mail, by writing to gruppi@teatrosanbabilamilano.it, using the institutional account (@polimi.it or @mail.polimi.it) and indicating in the subject line: Convenzione Polimi Student/Phd or Convenzione Polimi Professor/Researcher/Technical and administrative staff. They must then specify the number of tickets and subscriptions they want to purchase, provide their name and surname, telephone number, day and time of the performance/subscription. The box office will send the payment details.
- by calling the ticket office on 02.46513734, referring to Politecnico di Milano and paying by credit card
- at the ticket office, open from Tuesday to Friday from 2 pm to 5 pm and one hour before each performance, presenting the university ID card or another equivalent document.
