New partnership signed between Politecnico di Milano and Ariston Group
Politecnico di Milano has signed a new Scientific Collaboration Agreement with Ariston Group – one of the global leaders in sustainable solutions for climate comfort and hot water - in the field of sustainable space and water heating and cooling.
The five-year agreement includes the launch of new research projects, training initiatives, employer branding and recruiting activities delivered by the university’s Career Service, as well as joint participation in national and international funding calls.
Investments in infrastructure, personnel, and training activities will strengthen RELAB - the Politecnico di Milano laboratory dedicated to the study of sustainable heating and cooling systems. Research activities will focus on the development of advanced, energy-efficient, and highly digitalized solutions. With the involvement of the university’s Departments of Energy (DENG), Electronics, Information and Bioengineering (DEIB), and Mechanical Engineering (DMEC), the collaboration will address six key areas: energy systems and heat transfer, mechanics and materials, energy fluids, fluid dynamics and ventilation, acoustics and vibrations, and electronics and control systems.

Ariston Group, Partner of Politecnico di Milano Since 2020
Ariston Group’s first partnership with Politecnico di Milano and Fondazione Politecnico di Milano was signed in 2020, with the aim of giving a strategic perspective to the long-standing collaboration in the fields of research and technological innovation.
The new Agreement strengthens the Group’s investment in research, deepening the study of renewable energy and expanding into new strategic areas. The partnership also increases its focus on skills development, introducing targeted training initiatives, structured thematic programs (“academies”), and the Politecnico’s commitment to establishing permanent research groups.
At the same time, it reinforces exchange between academia and industry through Talent Attraction programs linking the academic and industrial worlds, with the goal of offering researchers involved in Ariston Group projects concrete opportunities for career entry and professional development within the company.
