La vitalità dell'archivio - 2026
Archives are not just places where the past is preserved: they are tools for research, dialogue, and design.
The event series “The Vitality of the Archive” continues, exploring the relationship between memory, creativity, and new visions. Starting from materials preserved in archives — drawings, photographs, models, documents, and narratives — the talks investigate how historical heritage can become an active resource for understanding the present and imagining the future.
For the 2026 edition, Roberto Dulio, the Rector's Delegate for the Archive, Library and Museum System of Politecnico di Milano, engages in conversations with scholars, curators, and professionals connected to archives and research centers dedicated to architecture, design, and visual culture.
A meeting with CASVA – Centre for Advanced Studies in the Visual Arts, Municipality of Milan
The next event is dedicated to CASVA, the archive of the Municipality of Milan that collects and promotes the archives of architects and designers, making them accessible to students, researchers, and enthusiasts.
CASVA is also an active center for research and public engagement: it organizes exhibitions, talks, and activities to bring audiences closer to archival materials and the stories they tell.
