Idea League Joint Board Meeting
Alliance of leading European technical universities meet at Politecnico di Milano
The Joint Board Meeting of IDEA League, was held on 7 and 8 March at the Politecnico di Milano. The strategic alliance gathers the most prestigious European technical universities: Politecnico di Milano, ETH Zürich, TU Delft, RWTH Aachen and Chalmers.
Rectors, internationalization delegates and members of the board were present, who had the opportunity to visit our historic headquarters in Piazza Leonardo da Vinci, the LabOra, the innovative physical and virtual architectural modelling laboratory in our new Architecture Campus, and the impressive Gianfranco Ferré Research Centre, now part of Politecnico di Milano’s Historical Archives.
Talent development and new profiles in engineering, innovative multicampus models and exchange of good practices. These are some of the main issues addressed together with the Idea League partners.
Donatella Sciuto, Rector of the Politecnico di Milano, concluded the meeting as follows:
I am so grateful to all the attendees for bringing up insights, visions and understandings that not only strengthen our network, but also help us design a common vision on what university is for and how we can improve its role and impact on society. Looking forward for our next meeting.
The aim of IDEA League is to strengthen the links between technology, science and society. Thanks to collaboration between the partners, the IDEA League fosters the sharing of a collective wealth of knowledge, experience and resources and it aims to connect and inspire a new generation of European science and technology graduates, champion innovation and entrepreneurship and steer Europe towards a more competitive and inclusive future.
