HelioƧwitch offers an innovative cloud-based service to support optimal dispatching of demand and generation flexibility via energy markets probabilistic modeling and weather forecast uncertainty propagation. In a nutshell, the approach could be divided in two steps:
- adoption of probabilistic ENSEMBLE weather forecast to quantify the non-gaussian, non-symmetric uncertainties in energy forecasts
- implementation of Monte Carlo and Bayesian Machine Learning to consistently combine model and input uncertainties into energy forecast estimates
