The proposed invention consists in a measurement system of the pressure field around the sails of a boat: this measure permits to evaluate the efficiency of the regulations effectuated during the navigation, and to evaluate possible modifications to optimize the performances.
Campo di applicazione
This measurement system proposed can be integrated with medium/high level boats, especially in the racing boats where there is a high interest in the optimization of the performances. The system can be useful both in the training phase to search which regulations are the optimized ones, and in the racing phase (if permitted) to check and, in case, to modify used regulations.
The advantage of the proposed system is based in its simplicity with respect to other similar systems and this would permit to use it also in no strictly scientific areas. In particular, it is important that the system could be installed with small impact both on the sails characteristics and on the usual navigation dynamics.
In addition, making the system autonomous and integrated in the standard instrumentation present on a yacht, this can become usable also by inexpert users.
