Politecnico di Milano is actively engaged in several research programs provided by the European Commission. Politecnico’s research activity has a particular focus on EU Framework Programmes for Research and Innovation, one of the most important funding schemes in matters of science and innovation.
At the moment, Politecnico is the first University in Italy and the fifth in Europe for the number of funded Horizon Europe projects.
Horizon Europe (2021-2027)
223 funded projects: including 25ERC and 23 MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships, for a total of about 110 million euros (until september 2023).
Previous EU Framework Programmes
HORIZON 2020 (2014-2020)
437 funded projects: including 34 ERC and 24 MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships, for a total of over 189 million euros.
