CoDesign4Transitions: democratic design for climate transitions

Politecnico di Milano coordinates the doctoral network

CoDesign4Transitions has kicked off: a doctoral network, funded within the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) of the Horizon Europe programme, brings together eight universities in seven countries and non-academic parterns from business, civil society, policy and local government.

The project, coordinated by the Department of Design of Politecnico di Milano, will allow 13 researchers to carry out new research and develop skills at the intersection of co-design, sustainability, service and systems design, democratic innovation, and climate transitions. Reserachers will be able to pioneer democratic design methodologies for climate transitions in an interdisciplinary, intersectoral environment.

Marzia Mortati, Associate Professor at the Department of Design at the Politecnico, is the scientific coordinator of the project.
