The first Girls@Polimi corporate scholarships have been awarded to two engineering students

Boston Consulting Group and Fondazione Deloitte stand alongside the Politecnico for equal opportunities in STEM studies

Erica Pantusa and Rebecca Donnini, enrolled respectively in the first year of the Industrial Production Engineering and Mechanical Engineering degree courses, won the first scholarships for equal opportunities donated by Boston Consulting Group and Fondazione Deloitte.

On July 14th, the two students received online congratulations from Prof. Donatella Sciuto, Vice-Rector of the Politecnico di Milano. It was an opportunity to meet the donor companies to tell them why they opted for Engineering, and what they would like to do "when they grow up".

For the first year, the Politecnico di Milano has launched GIRLS@POLIMI: an invitation to companies to donate scholarships to support students enrolled in Bachelor’s degree courses, especially those who enrol in Engineering courses that currently have a low number of women (less than 20%).

GIRLS@POLIMI is just one of the tangible actions implemented by the University to promote gender inclusion and equal opportunities, and we are working on the second edition of the call for entries!
