Welcome week

First semester 2026/2027

Politecnico di Milano is delighted to welcome its new international students and provide them with the information and guidance needed for both their stay in Italy and their academic career.

The Welcome Week for the first semester of the 2026–2027 academic year will be held from September 7 to September 11, 2026, at the Milano Leonardo and Milano Bovisa campuses.

To get a better understanding of the Welcome Week before your arrival, we have organized an introductory WEBINAR on September 2, 2026 at 3:00 PM (CET).

Program and registration

The Welcome Week is exclusively addressed to new international students (Exchange, Double Degree, Bachelor and Master of Science degree seeking) admitted to the first semester of the 2026-2027.

Registration for the Welcome Week is valid for all activities unless stated otherwise (e.g. for leisure activities mentioned below). The check-in for the Welcome Week will be carried out before accessing the Opening Plenary on September 7th, 2026.

The Welcome Week takes place in all Politecnico campuses in Milan, in order to let you discover them regardless of where you will be studying.

How to reach the campuses

LEONARDO CAMPUS
Take the subway (Line 2 - green line) and get off at Piola stop.
From Piola station: take the first street on the left (via Compagni) and then the second on the right (via Ampère). There you will find the entrance to the School of Architecture on the left. The Welcome Week will take place at Building 13 - Trifoglio

BOVISA DURANDO CAMPUS
From the city centre, get to one of the following subway stops: Porta Venezia (red line), Repubblica (yellow line) or Garibaldi (green line), take one of the railways named "Passante ferroviario" and get off at Bovisa stop. Also, you can reach Cadorna subway stop (green and red line), go to its railway station, take any train that leaves from there (except Malpensa Express) and get off at Bovisa stop. Once you get out of Bovisa railway station turn left to reach the Design Campus (entrance via Durando 10).
You can also reach the Campus (entrance Via G. Candiani 72) with a 15-minute walk from the stop Dergano (M3 yellow line).

BOVISA LA MASA CAMPUS
From the city centre, get to one of the following subway stops: Porta Venezia (red line), Repubblica (yellow line) or Garibaldi (green line), take one of the railways named "Passante ferroviario" and get off at Bovisa stop. Also, you can reach Cadorna subway stop (green and red line), go to its railway station, take any train that leaves from there (except Malpensa Express) and get off at Bovisa stop. Once you get out of Bovisa railway station turn right to reach the Engineering Campus (entrance via Lambruschini 15).
You can also reach the Campus (entrance via Lambruschini 15) with a 5-minute walk from the stop Villapizzone (Passante ferroviario).

GASOMETRI PARK - BOVISA
From the city centre, get to one of the following subway stops: Porta Venezia (red line), Repubblica (yellow line) or Garibaldi (green line), take one of the railways named "Passante ferroviario" and get off at Bovisa stop. Also, you can reach Cadorna subway stop (green and red line), go to its railway station, take any train that leaves from there (except Malpensa Express) and get off at Bovisa stop. Once you get out of Bovisa railway station turn right to reach the Engineering Campus (entrance via Lambruschini 15).

You can also reach the Campus (entrance via Lambruschini 15) with a 5-minute walk from the stop Villapizzone (Passante ferroviario).

The campus is located in Via Giampietrino, Milan in a former gasometers area in Bovisa Nord.

These activities are reserved for international students admitted to the first semester of 2026/2027 who will participate in the Welcome Week.

The Erasmus Student Network Politecnico Milano is a non-profit, apolitical association of students founded in 1992. Its aim is to support International student, providing with information and any kind of help that can be voluntarily given by its members.

In order to encourage integration and introduce you to Milan and its opportunities, ESN organizes some events during the Welcome Week.
