THE SHAPE OF WATER - Restoration and conservation of the Swimming Pool by Pier Luigi Nervi in Via Mincio, Milan. POLIMI, Lecco Campus, Laboratorio Nervi, 2019 Summer School.
The teaching activity of the Laboratorio Nervi continues also this year at the POLIMI Campus in Lecco.Born under the sign of Pier Luigi Nervi's cultural and scientific legacy, the aim of the Laboratorio Nervi is to promote the exploration of knowledge, conservation, restoration and valorization of Twentieth Century architecture. It operates through a multidisciplinary approach that combines within itself teaching, research and experimentation activities. The Laboratorio Nervi provides therefore transversal training, to outline the complex competences and the many fields of action that must be probed in facing the restoration and conservation of Modern and Contemporary Architecture.
The 2019 summer school of the Laboratorio Nervi will take place in two stages: Introductory workshop from the19th - to the 24th of July and Evaluation days, from the 27th to the 28th of September with presentation of the results and closing ceremony.

- 19 Luglio Campus di Lecco - Workshop introduttivo
- Sabato 20 luglio : La piscina di P.L. Nervi in via Mincio, Milano. Visita durante la mattina della piscina, relazioni su interventi e possibilità di utilizzo nel pomeriggio, da tenere negli spazi della struttura
- Lunedì 22 luglio - Martedì 23 luglio: Workshop condotto dai docenti che si svolgerà nelle aule del POLIMI presso il Campus di Lecco
- Mercoledì 24 luglio, giornata presso il Campus di Lecco: Presentazione dei risultati preliminari dei lavori, che gli studenti saranno tenuti a sviluppare ulteriormente nei 2 mesi successivi
- Venerdì 27 settembre - Sabato 28 settembre, presso il Campus di Lecco -Giornate conclusive

- 19th July Lecco Campus - Introductory workshop
- Saturday 20 July: Pier Luigi Nervi's swimming pool in via Mincio, Milan. During the morning visit of the pool, in the afternoon interventions on restoration and retrofitting possibilities of the structure, to be held in the spaces of the swimming pool
- Monday, July 22nd - Tuesday, July 23rd: Workshop on different themes conducted by this year's teachers, which will take place in the classrooms at the Lecco Campus
- Wednesday 24 July, day at the Lecco Campus: Presentation of the preliminary results of the single work groups, which the students will be required to develop further in the following 2 months
- Friday 27 September - Saturday 28 September, at the Lecco Campus - Evaluation days
