The activity provides 10 seminars about the work of the Masters of Italian Designand will consist of 5 lessons (also given by external guests)and 5 guided tours of some Art Foundations(Albini Foundations, Castiglioni, Magistretti, ISEC), company and museums (Triennale Design Museum, Kartell Museum).Students will have direct access to the objects, spaces, drawings, models and prototypesmade by the Masters of Italian Design.
All these architects and designers worked in the last centurydeveloping a wide range of spatial solutions, objects and tools whichhave deeply characterizedthe modern Italian project culture, determining also its international success,developing different approachesand outcomes,but always with great coherence, originality and attention to the social context.In particular, the seminars will focus on the works of 10 Masters: Gio Ponti, Franco Albini,Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni,Carlo Mollino, Vico Magistretti, Joe Colombo, Marco Zanuso,Enzo Mari, Alessandro Mendini, Ettore Sottsass.
The seminar provides to the participants a wide spectrum of knowledge and skills that studentscan invest in their academic activities, both in terms of historical and methodological notions.The contents of the seminar will be verified by an oral interview.
