Description of the initiative
In this course, we will learn what the SOIL is, that is, the resource that forms the basis of all possible architectures and urban planning. We undertake it. We don¿t think enough about how to treat it, what it does for us. We will learn that the ground is a thickness and not a supporting surface. We will learn that it is a threatened and consumed resource. We will learn that it is a non-renewable resource, non-resilient and ready to provide benefits unimagined by many of us. We will learn that it is among the most threatened resources in Italy and Europe. We will learn that there are many scientific and technical reports for soil protection. We will learn that you can do excellent urban planning and excellent architecture without consuming soil&land. We will learn that there are law initiatives that concern not only soil protection but also architectural and urban planning challenges towards land&soil. And finally, but perhaps most importantly, we will organize a visit together with an agronomist/naturalist to go together on a field to touch the most invisible and precious ecosystem we have and discuss by exchanging points of view. Caring for Land&Soil means starting with the right ecological transition time.
