Description of the initiative
Since the introduction of the Nuclear Engineering degree Programme in 1956, Politecnico di Milano offers a proper and complete formation about nuclear disciplines, thanks to the expertise developed over the years and to the close relation with the up-to-date areas of research and development. The MSc programme in Nuclear Engineering and the PhD Programme in Energy and Nuclear Science and Technology educate the future Nuclear Engineers, allowing them to apply the nuclear sciences and technologies and to provide their own contribution to face the complex challenges of the mankind with a top-level cultural and professional background.
The proposed initiative is aimed at introducing all the interested PoliMi students to the world of the Nuclear Engineering.
It is organized in sessions of seminars which will allow to discover the role of nuclear disciplines in four major areas:

- RESEARCH: Energy, Chemistry and Materials, Medicine, Engineering, Physics, Space, Fundamental Research
- PERSPECTIVES: PhD, Companies, R&D, national and supranational agencies
- CHALLENGES: sustainability and environmental protection, energy transition, health, frontiers of knowledge
