Description of the initiative
The proposed activity aims to bring students closer to the emerging theme of the New Space Economy, that is, the full exploitation of the data provided by satellites for commercial applications.
The topic will be addressed in 5 seminars of 2 hours each.
The first 3 seminars will illustrate the founding principles of the New Space Economy, the difference with the traditional space market, the characteristics of the so-called upstream and downstream markets and the economic value of the space market as a whole.
In the last 2 seminars some examples of new companies in the space market will be presented, both for the upstream and downstream sector, and examples of success of new entrepreneurship in the sector will be proposed.
