Description of the initiative
The course is aimed at providing 1st year students of the BSc degree in Mathematical Engineering the basic tools of Matlab, to teach them how to use it in simple situations, proposing problems related to the contents of the courses that they are attending during their first year of study, mainly in the course "Analisi Matematica I" (first semester of the first year). In particular, the students will learn basic MatLab commands, graphic commands and commands related to symbolic computing; we will introduce vectors and matrices and conditional instructions in MatLab; the students will learn how to perform computations regarding complex numbers, sequences, series, mathematical functions, parametric curves, limits, derivatives and integrals.
