Description of the initiative

Whirlpool's Operational Excellence methodology is fundamental to provide outstanding products and solutions, with a disciplined approach to problem prevention and problem-solving.
Operational Excellence methodology drives customer loyalty in many different ways:
  • improved quality through the development of more robust products to manufacturing, shipping, installation, usage, and aging variation;
  • improved cost through better management of cost and performance trade-offs;
  • improved engineering knowledge to meet conflicting customer needs with the optimized data-based design & process.
This training entitled "Introduction to Six Sigma methodology for process improvement and problem-solving" introduces Operational Excellence Thinking and Mindset to attendees for a clear overview of Whirlpool's Six Sigma methodology. This training allows driving projects and decisions based on the rational data in every business application. This training also provides sound Six Sigma skills for further training steps like Black Belt and Master Black Belt training.
