Description of the initiative
The design workshop aims to identify graphic trends related to contemporary lifestyles of the millennials and to create patterns to be applied on the new Hallo Magenta Mini, the smart speaker launched in 2019 by Deutsche Telekom. The design of the object is designed to be personalized, thus becoming able to represent the style of its owner.
The workshop is divided into two phases: a first phase of research related to the definition and visualization (through project moods) of possible lifestyles of the millennials and a design phase focused on the design of graphic patterns that can be representative of the identified lifestyles, to be applied on the device.
At the end of the workshop the graphic patterns most in line with the company brief will be selected by the teaching staff and Deutsche Telekom and will be presented during the Salone del Mobile 2020 within the Deutsche Telekom event in the Brera Design District.
