Description of the initiative
The course is for all students of the Polytechnic who are passionate about music - both as listeners and as musicians - and interested in acquiring basic knowledge, but at an engineering level, of electronics and electroacoustics for the acquisition and processing of audio signals.
In music production, both in recording studios and in live concerts, sophisticated electronic instrumentation - such as console-mixers, preamplifiers, filters, equalizers and analog or digital processors - is used for processing vocal and instrumental signals, together with professional microphones and advanced loudspeaker systems. The course includes some hours of lessons aimed at acquiring basic engineering knowledge of microphones, loudspeaker systems and electronic instrumentation for analog and digital processing of audio signals with a specific focus on the architecture and functionality of a professional console-mixer.
