As a basic requirement to be able to attend the course, the student must have followed the lectures on computational plasmas that have been given during the Plasma Physics I+II course (AA 2020/21) on the following dates: October 8th 2020, October 22nd 2020, November 5th 2020 and December 10th 2020. The videos are available on the Beep page of the Plasma Physics course. Moreover, the students will need to actively work on their own computer with a Linux distribution (e.g. Ubuntu, Debian, Mint). It is possible to either use a virtual machine, a partition or any other solution one may find. We will make use of python to work with the selected PIC code (Smilei, smileipic.github.io/Smilei/). In addition, the students can work with a programming language of their own choice to write their version of the code (examples will be provided in python).
