Description of the initiative
The course will provide laboratory/application examples in the field of biomedical engineering of the basic topics of applied mechanics - kinematics, dynamics, machine-transmission-user systems and vibrations.
The aim of the course is to use the knowledge of applied mechanics to machines, solving and experimenting simple applications in the field of bioengineering. The course includes the presentation of problems related to bioengineering (e.g. rigid elbow exoskeleton, soft exoskeleton, etc.), modeling and solving them through the presentation of the elements of use of calculation (Matlab) and simulation (Opensim) softwares. The identified solutions will then be tested experimentally. Students will be able to independently experiment with the different applications proposed thanks to the tools made available by the university. One lesson will be dedicated to solve a simple problem proposed to groups with the support of teachers. The last lesson includes the presentation of group work and the discussion of the results obtained during the course.
