Politecnico di Milano continues to rise in QS World University Rankings

156th in the world thanks to quality of training and research and graduates’ employer reputation


The prestigious QS World University Rankings continues to recognise the Politecnico di Milano’s policies focused on training excellence and competitive research. 

In fact it is our University’s academic reputation that places us 156th in the world, up 14 places from last year and more than 130 places over the last ten years.

Our Teaching and Research are being evaluated more and more positively: on the Academic Reputation index, the University rose 17 places from last year, from 138th to 121st.

The Employer Reputation index also underlines our strength, with positive assessments from national and international recruiters placing us in 55th position.

The excellent result achieved in the general world rankings reinforces those achieved in the QS World University Rankings by Subject which focuses on the key disciplines of each university. The “by Subject” ranking placed the Politecnico di Milano in the top 20 in the world in all three specialist areas: 17th in Engineering, 9th in Architecture and 5th in Design.
