This year we have the honour of having Amani Abou-Zeid on the Advisory Board of the Polisocial Award 2018, as a representative of the African Union Commission. The Polisocial Award is a competition financed by 5x1000 IRPEF donations, which promotes research projects with high social impact. This edition’s theme is cooperation and development, and the Advisory Board’s role will be to provide an expert advisory opinion on the issues addressed in the projects.

After a meeting with the Polisocial Award working group, Dr Abou-Zeid took part in a discussion on “Resilient infrastructure for Africa prosperity”. The day ended with a visit to the wind tunnel on the Bovisa campus.
