First in Italy in the QS Graduate Employability

36th overall in the world ranking for employability after graduating from the Politecnico

The Politecnico di Milano continues to rise in the QS Graduate Employability 2019 ranking, which assesses the employability of students graduated from institutions across the globe. This year we have jumped from 39th place to 36th worldwide and strengthened our position as the first Italian university in the ranking.

The factors at the core of the world ranking act to emphasise the extraordinary result achieved by our university.

We obtained the highest marks in "Graduate Employment Rate", the relationship between students employed 12 months after graduation and those still in search of a job; a result that brings us to second place worldwide for this factor in particular. An excellent result was also achieved for “Partnerships with Employers per Faculty”, the number of companies that have active collaborations with the university with regards to research and job placement, reaching 99 points out of 100.

The most interesting factor is that regarding "Employer Reputation" which awards the university with 46th place overall among the best institutions worldwide in terms of competence and innovation of their own graduates. This particular factor is based on the answers of 40,000 employers in the world which have identified the very best in academic institutions.

The ranking confirms the presence of solid partnerships with the business world not just from a job opportunity standpoint but also from the point of view of research and innovative teaching, capable of intercepting and satisfying international trends. A strategy where a key role is given to the relationship with Alumni, which is creating fertile ground from which to grow even more.
