Mission and goals

Professionals often face problems where strong interdisciplinary knowledge is required. This programme provides appropriate knowledge and skills to this end, giving students a solid knowledge of basic physical and engineering disciplines and at the same time providing them with an adequate spectrum of modern tools in applied mathematics, including numerical and computational issues as well as statistical methodologies.


Career opportunities

Graduates in Mathematical Engineering find placement in R&D divisions of large companies, computational laboratories or software houses, industrial consulting societies, banks and finance companies, research institutes. Many of them continue their education with the Master in Mathematical Engineering.

Programme description


Possible further education

Subject to academic curriculum evaluation, graduates may continue their studies with a Laurea Magistrale (equivalent to Master of Science) in Mathematical Engineering. With admission always subject to an evaluation, graduates may choose other Master of Science programmes or 1st level Specializing Masters.
