Materials and Nanotechnology Engineering
Academic year: 2024/2025
Programme duration: 3 years
Mission and goals
The programme aims at preparing experts in materials and nanotechnologies with specific knowledge in the sectors of preparation, transformation and application of materials with particular reference to nanotechnologies. At the end of the educational programme the graduate will be able to select the material and production process for a particular component, bearing in mind the influence subsequent processing may have on the structure and properties of the material itself. Within the study plan certain specific programmes are offered: Surface Processing Engineering, Microstructure and Nanotechnologies, Polymeric Materials Engineering and Technology & Design.
Career opportunities
The main professional opportunity for the graduate is in companies and industries in which materials are a main development factor. Some examples are material production, processing and design, surface processing industry, polymeric materials, etc.
