Entrance test

The Architecture Test for the 2022/2023 academic year will take place on Wednesday 27 July 2022 as reported in Ministerial Decree No. 473 of 26 May 2022 published on the MIUR website.

The test can be taken by students who have graduated.

You can register for the TEST-ARCHED from 10:00am (GMT+1) on 06 June 2022 until 2:00pm (GMT+1) on 18 July 2022. 

The registration to the ARCHED test must be completed on Politecnico di Milano website, although the test itself will be delivered remotely on CISIA website. The test will allow students to enrol in the Architecture courses at Politecnico di Milano and will take place on one date only.

The day of the test you must connect to the CISIA website in order to take the test by following the instructions that will be sent to you through e-mail from CISIA within 10 days or anyway within the date of the test.

If you want, even before receiving the informative e-mail from CISIA, you can simulate and practise with the Test Arched by registering on the CISIA website and by logging to the reserved area for "practice and placement"

How to apply

Please note that each of the following steps is compulsory:

a) Register online in order to obtain the credentials (person code and password) to access Politecnico di Milano Online Services (please note: multiple registrations will cause problems, please remember your credentials and use them every time you need to access the Online services)

b) Pre-register to the test at the following link “Laurea (equivalent to a Bachelor of Science) and five- year single-cycle programmes: entrance or discharge tests and enrolment” within 18th July

c) Pay for the admission test, the cost is 30 euros.

d) After having passed the entrance test and within the deadline for the enrolment, students will have to enroll online and hand in the required documents to the International Students Office.

Scores, outcome of the test and rankings

You can enrol in one of our courses only if you score above zero in the test. Candidates who have not provided any answers to any questions will not be considered in the ranking.

Architecture Test score

The maximum possible score in the architecture test is 50 points. This is calculated by attributing:

  • 1 points for each correct answer
  • 0 points for each answer not given
  • - 0.25 points for each incorrect answer

The ranking is drawn up exclusively according to:

  • the scores obtained in the test
  • the preferences expressed by all participants, until all available places have been filled

Places available

Below are the places available in the quota reserved for candidates with a foreign high school diploma who have applied for a visa to study at the relevant Italian Diplomatic Representative.

The numbers in brackets refer to the places reserved for Chinese students enrolled in the Marco Polo programme, provided they pass the entry test.

After the test: enrolment

To know if you are eligible for registration, wait until the ranking is published. If you have obtained the minimum score required to pass the test it doesn’t mean you have an adequate ranking position, which is needed to register.

The rankings will be published on the www.polimi.it website.

FIRST RANKING

On the 1st of August 2022, from 10.30 a.m. onwards, the ranking will be published showing the programme you can enroll in. The ranking depends on the score and the preferences expressed upon registration.

IF YOU ARE ELIGIBLE TO ENROLL IN THE PROGRAMME ASSIGNED IN THE RANKING, YOU CAN PROCEED FROM THE 1st OF AUGUST AT 10.30 AM UNTIL THE 4th OF AUGUST 2022 AT 11.59 PM.

 

SECOND RANKING ( Final ranking for Non Eu candidates)

On the 8th of AUGUST 2022, from 10.30 a.m. onwards, the ranking will be published showing the programme you can enroll in. The ranking depends on the score and the preferences expressed upon registration.

IF YOU ARE ELIGIBLE TO ENROLL IN THE PROGRAMME ASSIGNED IN THE RANKING, YOU CAN PROCEED FROM THE 8th OF AUGUST AT 10.30 AM UNTIL THE 11th OF AUGUST 2022 AT 11.59 PM

These are the possible outcomes for candidates in the following rankings:

ASSIGNED (Enrolment possible) > Registration is possible in the first course chosen. Candidates who don’t enrol within the deadlines are regarded as renouncers and they lose their right to enrol.

RESERVED (Enrolment possible) > Registration is possible not in the first choice, but in one of the other courses indicated during the registration process. In this case you can:

  • Proceed with the enrolment at the reserved course;
    OR
  • Express an interest to be considered in the following Rankings ( On Polimi Web site )

PENDING (Enrolment NOT possible) > You are not elegible in any choices expressed during the registration procedure. If you still want to be considered in the following Rankings , you must express your interest on Polimi website.
