Descrizione dell'iniziativa

Museo BAU Calls for Projects promote experimentation in the fields of design, visual arts, and contemporary creativity. They engage students and emerging creatives in design pathways that explore expressive languages, urban culture, and territorial storytelling. The calls offer visibility opportunities through events, exhibitions, and cultural collaborations.

WEAR THE CITY is a Call for Projects addressed to design students, dedicated to the design of garments and accessories developed under a single requirement: the use of materials recovered from the urban environment. The initiative aims to encourage reflection on the urban context and reuse practices through storytelling connected to the Bovisa district.

The winning projects will be exhibited during Design Week 2026. In addition, among the selected projects, 15 participants will take part in a design pathway in collaboration with Volvo Studio, aimed at the development of a limited-edition capsule collection, to be showcased during Fashion Week 2026 in Milan. The capsule collection will be created using automotive materials and components provided by Volvo.

The call is curated by Collettivo AAA and Museo BAU and includes online review sessions and extra-academic design support.

The competition is open to all design students, who may participate individually or in groups.
