Descrizione dell'iniziativa

The initiative proposes a seminar/talk featuring guest lecturers from leading companies operating in the fields of Experience Design, Artificial Intelligence, and Human–Machine Interaction. The aim is to establish a connection between academic knowledge and real-world applications by exposing students to advanced industrial practices, contemporary design challenges, and innovation processes. Following an initial session of presentations delivered by experts from industry and professional practice, an extensive Q&A session will allow for interactive discussion and direct engagement with participants. After the event, students will be required to complete a short practical activity designed to encourage critical and creative reflection on the presented case studies, with particular attention to the design challenges relevant to their future professional paths. Real projects and case studies will be presented, highlighting both the opportunities and limitations from technological and design perspectives. Participants will be invited to reflect on the topics discussed by proposing their own viewpoints and selecting projects, examples, technologies, theories, and/or tools that they consider consistent with the theme of Intelligent Experiences and Interactions. The initiative is closely connected to the research themes of the AXD – Advanced Experience Design laboratory, particularly in relation to AI-based interaction, multimodal interfaces, and a human-centered approach to design. This connection will enable students to better understand how advanced research outcomes are translated into industrial innovation and concrete applications. The event will take place on June 4 at 5:15 PM at the Durando Campus of Politecnico di Milano, Building B2, Room B2.2.1Representatives from the following companies will participate in the event (in alphabetical order):
Italdesign, Leonardo, LWT3, Model 5, and SPII (Strategic Partner Intelligent Interfaces).
