Descrizione dell'iniziativa
The proposed program is an innovative educational pathway aimed at young, capable, competent, and highly motivated talents who are committed to addressing the challenges of sustainable development. Students are selected based on their curriculum vitae, academic record, and a motivation letter. The program alternates between individual learning activities—through the use of online courses (MOOCs)—and seminar sessions with experts, as well as opportunities for active engagement, such as peer education initiatives in schools. A group-based project component is also foreseen. The Passion in Action program proposed here expands the cohort of students involved in educational pathways related to sustainable development, building upon the experience of the HONOURS PROGRAMME "Engineering for Sustainable Development", active since 2015 for Master's degree programs in the Schools of Industrial and Information Engineering, Civil, Environmental and Land Management Engineering, and for engineering programs in the School of Architecture, Urban Planning and Construction Engineering. The educational pathway is structured around three key components:
- Education initiatives on sustainability for middle and high school students, carried out in both formal and informal educational settings.
- Advocacy and awareness-raising activities on the topics addressed, including participation in the design and implementation of the Giornate della Cooperazione (Cooperation Days).
