JRP

A sustainable and user-centered healthcare model

Born from the collaboration between Politecnico di Milano and founding partners Deerns, Edison, Next, Eredi Rossini Domenico S.r.l., Hospital Consulting, Nextsense – Biovitae, Politecnica, Tecnicaer, Siram Veolia, Webuild, Siemens, Cassa Depositi e Prestiti, Mario Cucinella Architects, InAR and Proger, the Healthcare Infrastructures Joint Research Partnership was established to develop evolutionary strategies in design, technological, organizational, construction and managerial innovation, enabling companies to remain competitive in the healthcare transition from a hospital-centric model to a sustainable, user-centered system integrated into a physical and digital territorial network.

Since 2022, the Healthcare Infrastructures JRP has been producing policy briefs to support companies in steering innovation in the sector and strengthening their strategic positioning.

Activities

Studies and Research

PhD candidates investigate and explore specific projects or topics, with the goal of swiftly translating research findings into valuable innovations.

Training and Workshops

PoliMi students are involved in both teaching and work activities directly related to their curriculum with a strong, concrete connection to Lab projects. 

Sector Monitoring

Researchers support other researchers, professors and project managers in advancing research initiatives at the Smart Eyewear Lab. Researchers also have the opportunity to pursue postdoctoral studies or join as a senior researcher.

Networking

Professionals at the Smart Eyewear Lab are junior or senior principal investigators. They lead activities related to a specific research stream, focused on developing smart glasses through the integration of new hardware, algorithms and software.
