‘Business as a force for good’ is one of the guiding principles of the B Corp movement, which promotes a way of doing business capable of generating a positive impact on people and the environment. Benefit Corporations, introduced into Italian law by the 2016 Stability Law, follow this same approach; according to the law, ‘business activities must be conducted in a responsible, sustainable and transparent manner’ . This volume takes an interdisciplinary approach to exploring the world of businesses that integrate objectives of common benefit into their strategy and governance. The chapters examine the main legal, tax, economic-business and reporting aspects, supplemented by an Observatory on Benefit Corporations in Italy, a review of the scientific literature and a collection of practical case studies
