Impronte Politecniche: Maurizio Masi interviews Sergio Carrà

First episode of the series of interviews with Emeritus and Honorary Professors of the Politecnico

“Curiosity is the driving force, then you also have to love technology; the engineer must change the world in order to give something different to society.” Sergio Carrà, 93 years old, Professor Emeritus of Thermodynamics of Chemical Engineering at the Politecnico di Milano, retraces his academic career in conversation with Prof. Maurizio Masi, his former student: “Sergio Carrà had a future, he told us about it, and he still sees a future”.

“Impronte Politecniche” (Politecnico Footprints) is a series of video portraits in which Emeritus and Honorary Professors of the Politecnico relate their academic story conversing with one of their students; from their beginnings to the present day, passing through the successes, challenges, anecdotes, places, teachers, and students they have encountered along the way. The term “footprint” is intended to suggest the lasting value of that which the Emeriti have achieved in their careers, but also the path they have taken and which they invite us to take, following in their footsteps towards the challenges of the future.
